Kreidesee is a former surface mine which over the years filled up with water and it got transformed into a diver’s paradise. There are underwater sculptures and wrecks for scuba divers and freedivers to explore. There is easy access from the shore to depths up to 50m and in the middle of the lake there is a freediving platform with a competition like dive line.
Conditions:
Temperature below 15m is quite constant to about 6 degrees Celsius all year round but at the surface it varies with the season. You can find more on the lake on their website
In order to freedive in the lake one needs a certificate from one of the organizations providing freediving education or undergoing a freediving certification course.
